The Afghanistan Project

Founded after the 2021 collapse of the Afghan republic to bring at-risk Afghan scholars to safety and sustain a community of Afghan scholarship in exile — providing fellowships, research support, and a scholarly home for displaced academics.

2021–2022

Afghan Asylum Assistance Task Force

Coordinating pro bono asylum assistance for Afghans evacuated after the fall of Kabul — connecting evacuees with legal support, expert declarations, and resettlement resources.

2022

Support of Ukrainian Scholars

Emergency support for scholars in Ukraine following the 2022 Russian invasion — sustaining their research and connecting them to the international academic community.
